Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before accessing or using the Naqi AI service.

1. Interpretation and Definitions

Capitalized terms have the meanings provided in this Section or otherwise defined in these Terms.

• Application means the mobile application titled "Naqi AI," including all related features, tools, content, and updates.
• Company, We, Us, or Our means Naqi AI, an unincorporated business based in Syracuse, New York, United States.
• Device means any device capable of accessing the Service.
• Service means, collectively, the Application and any services offered by the Company.
• Halal Classification means the halal/doubtful/haram status Naqi AI displays for a scanned or searched product, generated from ingredient data and AI-assisted analysis.
• You means the individual using the Service, or the parent/guardian using it on a minor's behalf where permitted.

2. Agreement to Terms

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of these Terms and the Naqi Ai Privacy policy.  By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service.

3. Eligibility; Age Requirements

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. Naqi AI is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete their data and deactivate the account.

4. Accuracy Disclaimers

4.1 Halal Classification Disclaimer. This is the most important section of these Terms. Naqi AI's halal classification results are generated from ingredient data supplied by third-party sources (including Open Food Facts) and, where our local database cannot classify an ingredient, an AI model. These results are provided for informational purposes only. They are not a religious ruling, certification, or guarantee, and Naqi AI does not guarantee 100% accuracy. Ingredient databases can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, and AI-assisted classification can make mistakes. You are solely responsible for independently verifying a product's halal status — for example by checking official certification marks or contacting the manufacturer — before consuming it, particularly where Naqi AI's result is "doubtful" or otherwise unclear. The Company is not liable for any consequence, including consumption of a non-halal product, resulting from reliance on a Naqi AI classification, Naqi AI uses a large language model (LLM) as part of its ingredient analysis and halal classification process. AI-generated analyses are probabilistic and may contain errors, omissions, or incorrect interpretations. While we strive to improve the accuracy of our Service, AI output should not be relied upon as a substitute for official halal certification, religious guidance, or independent verification.

4.2 Nutrition and Health Disclaimer. Naqi AI does not provide medical advice, nutritional counseling, or professional health services. All calorie counts, macro/nutrient estimates, and health ratings are automated approximations sourced from third-party product data and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The Service is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, allergy reaction, or condition. Consult a licensed physician or dietitian for medical or dietary guidance, especially regarding allergies.

5. Your Account and Information

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date, since Naqi AI's halal-matching and allergy-flagging features rely on it being correct.
